Abstract:
With the increased popularity and the need for working remotely, the use of teleconferencing systems has increased significantly. The degradation of call quality due to acoustic echoes is one of the major sources of poor speech quality ratings in voice and video calls. The presentation will discuss how deep learning can be applied to achieve better echo cancellation performance in applications including multi-channel AEC and multi-mic AEC scenarios.
Bio:
Satheesh is currently working for Samsung Semiconductor R&D Centre, Bangalore, India. He has more than 17 years of experience in audio signal processing, having worked in different parts of the world. He is currently leading algorithm development team in S-LSI division and has extensive experience in the software development for the digital audio and speech domain. Some of the algorithms developed by him are being used in world’s leading mobile phones in the market today. He completed his education from IIITM-K Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and Government College of Engineering Kannur, Kerala.
