Bio:
Dr. Pratik Shah is working as a DSP Engineer at Apple, based in Cupertino, California. Prior to that he worked at Knowles Electronics where he led the development of an on-chip end-to-end speech enhancement solution. He completed is BE in Electronics and Telecommunications from University of Mumbai. He received the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2012 under the guidance of Dr. Steven Grant. His thesis topic was nonlinear acoustic echo cancellation. He has continued to work in the field of signal processing for speech enhancement with a focus on echo cancellation and echo control. He is also interested in multi-microphone speech enhancement techniques such as beamforming and the more recent multichannel deep learning.
