Abstract:

A simple polaroid photograph changed the way someone could remember a moment and later, cherish it forever. The transition from polaroid to digital photography made things more convenient and opened up a world of opportunities. What followed, was ways in which a digitally captured image could be put to better use, by taking advantage of the several components it contains. Digital Image Processing dives deeper into processing of these very components. In my talk, I will focus on the several aspects of image processing and we will also see some of the groundbreaking work that is happening across the globe, in several industries simply by using the power of digital image processing.
