M.Tech (Research)

M.Tech (Research) is a 2 - 2.5 year research based programme. Students are required to complete a specified number of courses, which are chosen in consultation with their research advisors, and complete a dissertation based on original research.

The requirement for the dissertation in the M.Tech.(Research) programme is less than that in the Ph.D. programme.

The students generally publish their work in peer-reviewed conferences and/or journals, and obtain research experience that is valuable both in the industry as well as for continuing on to pursue a Ph.D.

The number of credits of coursework to be registered for should be 12-21 relevant to the research area. There are also opportunities for internship and placement through OCCAP.
