This marked the first international conference experience for Meher and Shantanu, who presented their respective work on the spectral purity and intensity noise characteristics of cascaded random Raman fiber lasers and single-mode fiber supercontinuum sources pumped with conventional fiber lasers. Due to visa constraints, Yogesh N. L.\u2019s paper on the optimization of dual-phase modulation schemes for SBS suppression was presented by Dr. Balaswamy Velpula. Welcome aboard Mrittik!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Dr. Balaswamy, on 3rd July 2025, had the privilege of visiting the <strong>Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light<\/strong> in Erlangen, Germany\u2014a world class center for optics and photonics research, known for its pioneering work in photonic crystal fibers and quantum opitcs. During the visit, he met with <strong>Prof. Nicolas&nbsp;Joly<\/strong>, and <strong>Dr. Vishal&nbsp;Choudhury<\/strong>, whose team explores quantum photonics in hollow-core fibers to discuss potential research collaborations. Unfortunately, amidst such engaging discussions, we completely forgot to take any photos!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Dr Balaswamy had the honor of visiting <strong>LP2N, Institut d\u2019Optique Graduate School in France<\/strong>, and presented \u201cCascaded Raman fiber lasers: Advancements in Power scalability, spectral purity and intensity noise characteristics\u201d, on 30th June 2025. The exchange of insights was truly enlightening and laid the foundation for exciting future research collaborations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>FLARe Lab hosted an engaging Open Day at IISc on <strong>March 1, 2025<\/strong>, showcasing a variety of interactive and fun laser experiments to the public.
