How do we go about implementing the MAC layer for OFDMA in Simulink?

• What are the issues in OFDMA uplink?
  • How does mobile WiMAX work?
• What are the parameters we need to choose? (rate, power, etc).
• What is Flash OFDM?

We would like to understand how the latency in carrier sensing would affect the throughput in a CSMA network. Seems like this would be an interesting area to explore theoretically.

• Check for previous work on this space.
• Formulate the problem mathematically
  • Check Gallager's textbook.

1. Read about flash OFDM.
2. Read Gallager's and Anurag's textbooks, and try to formulate the throughput problem mathematically.
3. Search for existing publications in this space - what is the state of the art on the network throughput analysis in CSMA networks?
