2. Project title: Network slicing in 5G mobile communication system

We are looking for prospective interns and project associates to contribute to the ongoing development of end-to-end network slicing in 5G mobile communication system. The candidate will be working with the other research students at the Next Generation Wireless Systems Lab led by Prof. Neelesh B. Mehta. The candidate will have the opportunity to learn about and work on emerging technologies such as 5G, SDN, NFV, and network slicing and open-source platforms for implementing and simulating them.

3. Project title: Modelling and Performance Evaluation of New and Emerging WiFi Networks

Essential skills required:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in ECE or a related field
• Understanding of wireless communication and networking protocols
• Basic engineering mathematics
• Good programming skills in Matlab and/or C/C++
• Must be willing to quickly learn on the fly

Job specifications:

• Understand new (IEEE 802.11ax) and emerging (IEEE 802.11be) WLAN PHY and MAC protocols
• Simulate and debug MATLAB and NS3 implementations of WLAN PHY and MAC protocols
• Survey literature on emerging PHY and MAC standards
• Analytically model and optimize emerging PHY and MAC standards (depending on the applicant’s skill-set)

Starting date: As soon as possible

Duration: 9 months [After 3 month probation period]
