Biography:
Prof. D. N. Bose is an eminent scientist in semiconductor physics and photonics, with a distinguished career spanning academia, research, and administration. He has contributed significantly to the fields of semiconductor materials, amorphous semiconductors, microwave devices, and photonics.
Personal life and education:
• Obtained M.Sc. (Tech) in Radiophysics and Electronics from the University of Calcutta.
• Awarded an ICI (India) Technical Scholarship.
• Completed Ph.D. in Semiconductor Physics at the University of Reading, U.K. (1961–1965).
