Biography
Education:
Dr. Siva Sankara Reddy completed his B.Sc in Physics from Nagarjuna University in 1980 and his M.Sc in Physics from Andhra University in 1983. He went on to pursue his M.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 1985 and later obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Science in 1997 in the Faculty of Engineering.
Career:
He began his professional career as a Scientific Officer on 10 July 1987 and served in this role until 10 July 1992. He was subsequently promoted to Scientific Officer Grade 1, serving from 11 July 1992 to 19 July 2002. During his tenure, he was actively involved as a faculty member in the field of Microelectronics and VLSI.
Dr. Reddy played a key role in establishing a VLSI laboratory with foundational facilities such as oxidation, diffusion, and metal deposition, enabling fundamental semiconductor research under a Government of India (MHRD) program. He contributed to teaching courses in semiconductor devices and basics of VLSI, and was actively involved in research programs within the ECE department, particularly in microelectronics and superconductors.
