Call for Tutorials

The 33rd National Conference on Communications (NCC 2027), jointly organized by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), IIT Palakkad, IIT Goa, and IIIT Bangalore, invites proposals for tutorials within the scope of communication and networking. NCC 2027 will bring together researchers, academicians, students, and industry professionals working across communications, signal processing, networking, RF, and optical technologies.

We seek proposals that are intended to provide participants with an in-depth introduction to emerging topics, covering fundamental concepts, recent advances, state-of-the-art techniques, practical aspects, and open research challenges. Note that tutorial proposers are expected to present the tutorial in person during the conference.

Topics of Interest

Tutorial proposals are solicited on emerging topics broadly related to communications, signal processing, networking, RF and optical communications and networks.

Proposal Requirements

Each tutorial proposal must contain the following:

1. Title, Presenters and Affiliations: Provide the title of the tutorial and the names, affiliations, and contact information of all tutorial presenters.

2. Abstract, Objectives and Intended Audience: Include a one- or two-paragraph abstract describing the tutorial, its objectives and motivation, along with the background expected of the intended audience. Tutorials may range from introductory to advanced levels.

3. Description and Content Outline: Provide a description of no more than 2 pages highlighting the relevance and timeliness of the topic, the key topics to be addressed, and a comprehensive outline of the tutorial content, including a tentative schedule and presenters for different sections.

4. Materials: Describe, in no more than 1 page, the materials that will be made available to attendees through the conference website, such as slides, annotated bibliographies, code snippets, or other supporting resources.

5. Presenter Experience: Provide information on the presenters’ relevant research/technical expertise and previous experience with the tutorial topic, including any prior or related editions of the tutorial and publication list in the chosen area.

6. Previous Tutorial Experience: Describe the tutorial-presenting experience of each speaker and any previous versions of the proposed tutorial. State whether similar tutorials have been offered by others at recent NCCs and clearly explain how the proposed tutorial differs.

The tutorial proposals should not substantially duplicate previously offered tutorials. All submissions must be made through the CMT NCC 2027 Tutorial Submission Portal.

Tutorial Proposal Submission Deadline: 31 October 2026

Notification of Acceptance: 24 December 2026
