Project staff
We typically have several openings for project staff. Candidates with a B.Tech. in ECE or CS are welcome to get in touch.
We are always willing to work with motivated people who enjoy mathematics, algorithms, building things that work, and are curious to know why they work. Here is how to get involved at each stage.
We typically have several openings for project staff. Candidates with a B.Tech. in ECE or CS are welcome to get in touch.
We host predoctoral researchers who are strongly inclined towards research in Signal Processing, Wireless Communications, or Graph AI/ML. We only host predocs who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. after their predoc, and are willing to stay for at least 1 year. You should have a very good academic record, demonstrated proficiency in coding, and a B.Tech. in ECE/CS/EE or related areas from an IIT, NIT, IISER, IIIT or similar school with a GPA of 8 or above.
Email your CV and a statement of purpose explaining why you want to do a predoc. If your application is a good match, we will get back to you.
Admissions to these programmes are made at the department level by appointed committees. If you are interested in our lab, and have a solid background in linear algebra, probability, basics of machine learning, and signal processing, please reach out for more details about joining the lab. For admissions, see the IISc admissions page.
If you have a strong background in signal processing or machine learning and a good publication record (for example, two to three papers in IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications or similar journals, or at A* venues), please reach out.
I might be able to host your Postdoc through IISc postdoctoral fellowship or ANRF's NPDF.
We occasionally host interns in their final year of study. Candidates with strong research interests and academic background may reach out. Please note that we are unable to respond to every email.
Email spchepuri AT iisc DOT ac DOT in with the position in the subject line and attach your CV. For predoc and postdoc positions, include a short statement of your research interests. Please do not email about admissions to IISc graduate programmes; these are handled by the institute.
