How do we go about implementing the MAC layer for OFDMA in Simulink?
- What are the issues in OFDMA uplink?
- How does mobile WiMAX work?
- What are the parameters we need to choose? (rate, power, etc).
- What is Flash OFDM?
Impact of latency on network throughput
We would like to understand how the latency in carrier sensing would affect the throughput in a CSMA network. Seems like this would be an interesting area to explore theoretically.
- Check for previous work on this space.
- Formulate the problem mathematically
- Check Gallager's textbook.
Action Items
- Read about flash OFDM.
- Read Gallager's and Anurag's textbooks, and try to formulate the throughput problem mathematically.
- Search for existing publications in this space - what is the state of the art on the network throughput analysis in CSMA networks?
