  • Deadline for (early bird) author registration: April 30, 2024.

  • Deadline for camera-ready paper submission: April 19, 2024.

Instructions for preparing the IEEE Xplore compliant camera-ready paper

  • The camera-ready paper should not exceed FIVE double-column pages (including references), with single line spacing, main text font size no smaller than 10 points, and at least 3/4 inch margins (about 18 mm).
  • DO NOT apply any additional page numbers, headers, footers, or copyright codes to your final camera-ready submission.
  • Names and affiliations of all the authors must be included in the camera-ready paper and must be identical and in the same order as in the original submission on CMT.
  • The abstract in the camera-ready paper and the one uploaded in CMT must be identical. If you have revised the abstract in your paper, please update the one in CMT. The abstract uploaded on CMT will be the one used to produce the Book of Abstracts.
  • Log in to the IEEE PDF eXpress website at https://www.pdf-express.org/. If you do not already have a user account, you will need to create a new one. The SPCOM 2024 conference ID is 60851X.
  • Upload your source file for conversion and/or PDF for checking. The PDF eXpress site contains instructions, resources, hints, and access to technical support to help you generate an IEEE Xplore compatible PDF.

Authors are encouraged to use LaTeX to format their camera-ready papers, using the style file and following the example given below. Authors using Microsoft Word are encouraged to use standard IEEE conference templates from the following link: IEEE conference templates.

Step-by-step procedure for submitting the camera-ready paper

  • Step 1: Prepare your manuscript following the instructions given above. Go through IEEE PDF eXpress in order to generate an IEEE Xplore compliant PDF --- this is the PDF file that is required to be uploaded on CMT.

The IEEE PDF eXpress site looks as follows. If you do not already have a user account, you will need to create a new one. Use the SPCOM 2024 conference ID 60851X.

  • Step 2: Complete registration. Upon successful registration, you will get a registration confirmation by email, in which you will find a registration receipt number. This registration receipt number would be needed in Step 5.
  • Step 3: Log in to your CMT account and go to the Author Console where you can see your accepted papers. Under the “Actions” column, you will find links for camera-ready paper submission and IEEE Copyright Form submission as shown below.
  • Step 4: Click on “Submit IEEE Copyright Form” and follow the steps. This will take you to the IEEE Copyright website where you can submit the Copyright form. Download a copy of the completed copyright form, which you will need to upload in the CMT portal.
  • Step 5: Click on “Create Camera Ready Submission” in the Author Console. This will open a new page where you will be able to upload your camera-ready paper, enter your registration receipt number generated upon successful registration, and comply with a mandatory check-list. Once you press SUBMIT, your camera-ready paper submission process is complete.
Troubleshooting
(Courtesy IEEE IPR office)

In case you encounter the following error message while trying to transfer the e-Copyright Form (eCF) to IEEE, it could be because your submission system is behind a firewall. Disable the firewall and try again. If it works, then please set the firewall to pass the information to the eCF system.

If you face any issues despite following the instructions given above, please email us at spcom2024@gmail.com If you do not comply with the instructions given above, your paper will not be included in the conference proceedings.
