Instructions for preparing manuscript for submission

Prospective authors are invited to submit manuscripts (full paper(s)) containing original contribution with sufficient detail for review. The submitted manuscript must include original contribution of the authors which have not been published or submitted elsewhere.

No-show policy: All accepted papers must be presented in-person. Substitutions for presentations are allowed only after prior approval from TPC chairs.

Registration: Each accepted paper should be covered by a full registration. One full registration will cover up to two accepted papers.

Please keep the following in mind while preparing your final manuscripts.

  • The manuscript should follow the standard IEEE conference template. It should not exceed FIVE double-column pages, with single line spacing, main text font size no smaller than 10 points, and at least 3/4 inch margins (about 18 mm).
  • It should have no content written in the margins. In particular, no header, footer, or page numbers.
  • SPCOM 2024 will have a double-blind review process. So names and affiliations of the authors should NOT be included in the paper. Please see below for more instructions in this regard.
All submissions must take place through the CMT paper submission portal.

The deadline for paper submission is January 22, 2024 January 15, 2024, 23:59 IST.

Important note: The reviewing process for SPCOM 2024 will be double-blind, where both the author and referee names will be hidden from each other. Note, however, that the Technical Program Committee Chairs will know the author identities, to avoid conflicts of interest. In order to effectively implement double-blind reviewing, it is required that no author names should be included in the submitted manuscript (PDF file). Moreover, no direct or indirect reference should be made that could reveal the identity of the authors. Thus, the submission should certainly NOT contain the names of the authors, institution names, email ids etc. Also, authors must refer to their own prior work in the third person, and should NOT include research grant/proposal numbers etc. Any submissions not meeting these requirements will be rejected without review.

Authors are encouraged to use LaTeX to format their papers, using the style file and following the example given below. Authors using Microsoft Word are encouraged to use standard IEEE conference templates from the following link: IEEE conference templates. Authors using other means to prepare their manuscripts should adhere to the style shown in the example (spcom2024_example.pdf) as closely as possible.

Paper templates: spcom2024_example.pdf, spcom2024_example.tex

LaTeX style file: IEEEtran.cls
